Resulting from on-going economic analysis and market conditions, a provincial UOMA will implement a modest increase on the EHC on certain products. After such a review, SOGHU has increased the EHC on containers effective July 1, 2016 in Quebec.

The EHC on HDPE or Metal containers goes from $0.10 to $0.12 per litre for container sized 50 litres ore less. For Non-Metal and Non-HDPE containers, the EHC moves from $0.17 to $0.20 per litre for containers sized 50 litres or less.
