2023 was a year of collaboration and progress for the nine industry-led provincial stewardship programs that make up the national Used Oil Management Association (UOMA).
Over the course of the year a series of planned upgrades to the OneWindow reporting system were launched including expanded capabilities in the communications module that will allow for more streamlined messaging between associations and members. UOMA remains committed to delivering an online reporting platform that makes it easy for members to register and report.
A true highlight was bringing the programs together in August for the National Strategic Planning Session, hosted by Interchange Recycling in Victoria, BC. Board members, staff and key stakeholders participated in three days of education and connection focused on the future of used oil recycling in Canada and North America. Ideas were shared and best practices discussed, all with the future of UOMA and the interest of our members, in mind.
As we move into 2024, we will be compiling the collection of data from all member provinces and look forward to sharing our total accomplishments with you. Thank you again for your continued support.
