The BC Used Oil Management Association, Saskatchewan Association for Resource Recovery Corp., Manitoba Association for Resource Recovery Corp., La Société de Gestion des Huiles Usageés in QC and the Atlantic Used Oil Management Association (NB, PEI, NFLD and Labrador, NS) wish to inform all Members that additions to the OEM Categories that were effective for all sales occurring on or after July 1, 2020 in Alberta by the Alberta Recycling Management Authority (ARMA) will become effective on all applicable sales occurring January 1, 2022 in these jurisdictions (BC, SK, MB, QC, NB, PE NL and NS).
Effective on the dates noted above there is a requirement for OEM Members to:

- Report and remit EHC on actual quantities of included materials (oil, oil filters and anti freeze) included in the products sold but not included in the currently defined OEM equipment;
- Report and remit EHC on two new OEM Categories, Specialized Equipment and Recreational Equipment. Members must report and remit actual quantities of included materials (oil, oil filters and anti-freeze) included in the products sold in these two new Categories.
A summary of these changes is presented in the chart below:
Effective for sales on or after July 1, 2020 in AB
Effective for sales on or after January 1, 2022 in BC, SK, MB, QC, NB, PE NL and NS
A schedule for Training Webinars to explain the impact on EHC filings on the EHC One Window Online System will be released at a later date.
